"Huguenot" cross, or Waldensian, most likely was inspired from the Occitan or Toulouse Cross by the Huguenots. A Fleur-de-lis connects each cross arm and a dove descending represents the Holy Spirit. The Huguenots were early 16th century French Calvinist Protestants.
